Through community events hosted by the Green Team the previously vacant lot of 710 Oakland was transformed into a thriving green space. Native flowers, shrubs, and trees were planted to mitigate stormwater and to provide a beautiful space for the Douglass-Sumner neighborhood.

Following the installation, 710 Oakland has become a place of community engagement and inclusivity. Many events and gatherings were hosted to gather feedback and ideas to further better the space and its benefits to the community.

710 Oakland is now undergoing transformation once again! It is currently in the process of being converted into a potential community garden. This allows for sustainability, community engagement, and a safe green space to relax in.
