Groundwork NRG Food Drive

With a limited amount of sources for fresh foods and grocery stores, Northeast KCK is what to be considered a food desert. Groundwork NRG hosted four drive-thru food pantries, distributing boxes of fresh produce and dairy products to the community. This program was sponsored by the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box program which was designed to put American farmers and distributors of all sizes back to work while supporting over-burdened food banks, community and faith-based organizations, and other non-profits serving Americans in need.

With the help of the KC Steak Company transporting the food. and over thirty volunteers distributing the food, Groundwork NRG helped 900 families and distributed over $30,000 worth of food.
