Groundwork Northeast Revitalization Group is excited to announce that we are the recipients of a $10,000 grant from the Union Pacific Foundation! The grant funds will be disbursed over the next year, and will support:

  • Groundwork NRG's Green Team initiative, which provides workforce development training for local high-school aged youth who are interested in environmental stewardship, conservation, job training, and leadership skills.

  • Neighborhood beautification projects such as rain gardens, green infrastructure installations, the planting of native trees, flowers, and perennials, neighborhood clean ups, as well as conservation activities like water quality testing, support for pollinator habitats, and more.

  • Projects that will help to manage and reduce the impacts of storm water runoff in Historic Northeast neighborhoods.

Groundwork NRG looks forward to enhancing the career readiness of youth in the Historic Northeast area, thanks to the grant provided by the Union Pacific Foundation!

The Union Pacific Community Ties Giving Program supports projects across the nation that improve safety, workforce development, and community spaces. To learn more about this program please visit https://www.up.com
